Fit For a Mansion Phase II

The Stetson Mansion has included Century Hardware in phase II. The Carriage House is adorned with Century Select. Listed in the national historic register and designed by the noted architect George T. Pearson in 1886, Stetson Mansion was built in the frame vernacular style. A blend of cottage, gothic, Tudor, Moorish and Polynesian details. The Stetson mansion presents an excellent example of the high Victorian architecture.
Exquisite inlayed parquet floors have a different pattern in each grand room on the first 2 levels. Carved in woodwork, leaded, stained and rare roundel glass windows compete with the grand staircase for attention.
The 8500 sq ft home is reportedly half the size Mr. Stetson wanted to build on his 300 acre orange grove. The house now sits on over 2 acres of blank canvas waiting to be adorned with gardens, gazebos, fountains, patios and a pool.
Next to the main house is an 800 plus sq ft schoolhouse built just to educate Mr. Stetson’s children. Its high planked ceiling takes ones imagination to the waters of the South Pacific. Possibilities for the schoolhouse renovation are endless.
